Venessa Mendez is an Arizona-based multi-faceted artist.  She is a singer-songwriter, recording, and performing artist. She originates right from the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix Arizona. Her music draws influence from funk, soul, jazz, and hip hop. Venessa earned an Associates Degree in Music Business and then went on to become deeply involved in the live music seen in the valley. Singing with the funk group Hot Birds And The Chili Sauce and fronting her own band Sassy & The Sneak Attack. Venessa has sung an array of musical styles, anything from rare underground funk to top 40 pop. She has opened up for national acts such as Gill-Scott Heron, Roger Cline and The PeaceMakers, Gift Of Gab, Three 6 Mafia, 50 cent, and many others. Venessa has also had the opportunity to perform several different music festivals such as The McDowell Mountain Music Festival, Apache Lake Music Festival, Good Times and more. She is currently working on releasing an EP with her band.
